How to survive the hideous flight and strange first day...

I(Jas) ended up sitting next to a drunk idiot the whole way over. That idiot was Max who thought it was a good idea to drink 15 Tiger's despite the "are you sure" comments from the Air Hostess. Anyway, three films and three meals later we arrived at Denpasar Airport which felt like being in The Rainforest Dome at The Eden Project. Max got us a taxi for 70,000 (5 quid) to Suka Beach Inn, In Poppies 2, Kuta, which despite the 'wetroom' was actually really nice and a bargain at 110,000 (£8) per night for a double room. So we had a little nap then BOTH jumped on the back of a moped/taxi to a place called Skygarden, which did great food and drinks, then met an old friend of Max's, George, where we had a few more Bintangs and chatted til the early hours.
