As soon as we arrived, Max and I had a fun surf at low tide, whilst Jaz adjusted to life with clean air, sounds of crashing waves, and a heavenly pad. This place is what we all wanted from a trip to Bali.
After a few Bintangs, Max once again was eager to waken me to a mellow, fun, yet 5 foot Balian wave at 06:00. Surf, breakfast, surf. Only to be interrupted by the occasional Seadog, and sharks wearing gasmasks…
In between some sick racy rights and long carveable lefts (the easiest wave to do turns on ever), I have been enlightened to the treats of Jaz’s mind, including tales of flying dragons in London Zoo, the 16th century Second World War, her actual ability to walk on water and dreams of being Hitler’s spawn.
This is a place of paradise, mellow waves, mellow people, local markets, and jamming sessions while enjoying good food and Bintangs…whilst smoking 20 a day standard.
Today we went on a 2 hour mad cash hunt to some Muslim town called Nagara (the closest place) but found the longest left I’ve ever seen, Medewi. So Max and I are planning our 05:00 start tomorrow, while Jaz enjoys a massage for £4.
